House Rules

Absolutely no smoking is allowed inside the home under any circumstances. If you do smoke outside, make sure to throw your waste in proper receptacles. Parties are strictly against the rules as well. We want our guests to have a good time, but this home is designed for family gatherings and must be enjoyed responsibly. We do not allow any fireworks, recreational shooting of firearms, or anything else that makes usually loud noises on the property at anytime.

Neighborhood

Surrounded by farms and the families who have farmed the land for generations, this home is located in a small farmers community that has been mostly untouched. Separated by the Watauga River and a few bluffs, there is only one road in and one road out of the Watauga Flats area. This is the type of area where everybody knows one another and keeps an eye out. While we are located out in the farmlands, we are only a short 15 minute drive from downtown Johnson City. You can enjoy the perks of living in a bigger town whithout actually having to stay in the middle of town!

Absolutely loved our stay! We brought our crew of 12 from NY to TN for the Thanksgiving Holiday on a last minute booking and this home was beyond perfect! The location, the views, the animals! Jason and Brent were very responsive! The home had everything we needed and more to enjoy our time! We look forward to spending more time there again!

As far as traveling around this area, your options are fairly limited. The closest airports are: Tri-Cities Airport - 30 min & Asheville Regional Airport - 1 hr 24 min From there, you will have to rent a car or take a rideshare. Driving your personal vehicle would be the easiest way to get around.
